Curriculum planning
Based on the Hong Kong Education Bureau's "Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guidelines" (2017) as a blueprint, with school-based curriculum design activities move. There are also Orff music courses, moral education courses and physical activities for young children.
We will follow the "Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide" (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.
Learning / Teaching approach and activities
The school uses games, themes, stories and dramas to coordinate learning through activity teaching and hands-on activities. Activities include outdoor visits, simulated role or scenario play, life exploration, parent-child design activities, special studies and lectures. Among them, children's interest in learning is cultivated, children can learn to communicate with others, analyze and judge, and solve problems, so that children can develop in a balanced manner.
Assessment of children’s learning experiences
The school continuously evaluates children's daily learning and ability development for evaluation, including the child's overall development report and children's physical and mental development and learning record report of thematic learning assessment (first and second semester), and summarizes the child development record and physical assessment report of the whole year. The school also arranges parental classes and parent days to let parents understand the overall development of their children. In addition, the school also prepares a personal growth file record book for each child to collect the school life and learning ability development of the child from enrollment to graduation.
